With profound sadness we announce the passing of Opal P. Scott fondly known as "Scottie", our beautiful and affectionate mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, passed away on April 22, 2020. Her body succumbed to this pandemic as so many others have. She was in her 74th year.
She was born in Centerville Leon, Texas November 5, 1945 to Faye Marie Johnson and Leon Robinson who both preceded her in death.
She was predeceased by her sisters Mary Alice, Doris Marie, Barbara Ann, brother James, and granddaughter Brandy.
She was the beloved mother of Shay (Johnny), Elisa (Henry) and Lakeesha (Quincy), proud grandmother of Brittany, Jordan, Keerston, Chandler and Michael, and great grandmother of Emory and Nala.
She leaves to cherish her memory sister Joyce, brothers Leon, Lewis, Charles, and Curtis as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Scottie enjoyed doing hair as a cosmetologist most of her life. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, loved growing beautiful house plants and was highly skilled with fashion and staying dressed to the "T" when she went to any outing or function. Most of all she loved the Lord, beautiful things, and the beauty of the state of Colorado. She instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
