Nancy Leverett

Nancy Leverett, 83, of Centennial Colorado, departed on May 26, 2017 from cancer at Porter Hospice in Centennial.

Nancy was loved by many for her kindness and independent nature. She was born and raided in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Denver, Colorado to raise a family of her own. She loved being close to the mountains where she hiked and skied all along the front range. Winter Park and Grand Lake were some of her favorite destinations which she visited at least once a year.

Later in her life, she took up tap dancing and encountered many wonderful people of all ages whom she created loving friendships with. She loved the art of the West and Southwest. She read and re-read the books of Tony Hillerman. She also loved jigsaw puzzles and spent many enjoyable hours working them.

She is survived by two older sisters: Gladys and Marion, and two children Sue and Joe.

Nancy was very spiritual and believed that death is only a transition and did not wish to have any services held in her name. She requests only that we all focus on our fond memories of her.
