Nancy Joan (Reid) Lena of Mount Juliet, passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, October 16, 2020, at Quality Center for Rehabilitation & Healing in Lebanon.She was born October 4, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Gordon and Nellie (Petrie) Reid.
She worked as a Switchboard Operator for General Motors until she met the love of her life, Angelo Lena. They married and started their family in Orlando, Florida. Nancy was a full time mother and homemaker, and she loved cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. Also, she was known as Mrs. Claus along with her husband, as he was Santa Claus during the Knights of Columbus Christmas events.In 2006, after the death of her husband, she moved to Tennessee to live with her son, David, daughter-in-law, Kari, and grandsons, Anthony and Andrew. She especially loved being Grandma and being "the biggest fan" of her grandchildren and great-grandchild!Nancy was a strong, loving and thoughtful lady, and we will miss her every day.She was a parishioner of Saint Stephen Catholic Community.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Lena, on July 24, 2006; her daughter, Kim, 2004, and her son, Richard, 1960; Survivors include her son, David Lena (Kari) of Mount Juliet; four grandchildren, Sean Kozlowski of Tallahassee, Florida; Shana Christian (Jason) of Brandon, Florida, Anthony and Andrew Lena of Mount Juliet; one great grandchild, Kimberly Christian of Brandon, Florida; one sister-in-law, Josephine Balzano of Branford, Connecticut, and nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 am and Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am at Saint Stephen Catholic Community on Monday, November 2, with Rev. Emmanuel Dirichukwu officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.To share condolences and memories, please visit
