Nancy Lankford

NANCY G. SKELTON LANKFORD. Celebration of Life was on August 4, 2020. Nancy requested to be cremated and her remains were buried in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens in Wilson Co. Nancy G. Skelton Lankford was born on 02/13/1951 in Wayne Co., Tn., and died at the age of 69 in Davidson County, Tn. on 07/17/2020 after a short illness. Nancy is survived by one son, Jason Lankford and three grandchildren, Allison Lankford, Makayla Lankford and Mackenzie Lankford. She had two great grand children, Brantley Fudge and K.D Fudge, (All from Wilson County, Tn. Surviving siblings are Virgil K. Skelton, (Wayne County, Tn), M.Joyce Skelton Tuverson (Wilson County, Tn.), and Loretta Skelton Burgess, (Wayne Co., Tn.), and a stepsister, Michelle Barnett, of Cumming, Georgia and stepbrother, Michael Potete of Brockton, AL. Nancy was preceded in death by Father, Obie K. Skelton, Mother, Bessie Mae Whitehead Skelton Potete, and Stepfather, James E. Potete and two brothers, Jimmy and Gerald Skelton and one sister in law, Jo Evelyn Skelton all of Waynesboro, Tn. She is also survived by a dear friend and companion of many years, Anne White Heppner, and also work buddies that she has known since her 1st job and who was always there for her through thick or thin, Barbara Wildes and Wilma Haley. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and two sister in laws, Connie Combs Skelton and Anita Harrington Skelton.
