Mikel Richard "Rich" Bludnick, 70

Rich was called home to heaven on July 17, 2024, with his family by his side.

He was a loving husband to his wife of 33 years, Cyndi (Johnston) Bludnick and father to four children, Lauren (Josh) Hurlbut, Sarah Rowbottom, Hannah Breaze and Seth (Katie) Bludnick, and six grandchildren, LJ, Morgan, Rae, Alice, Patrick and Nicholas.

Rich was fondly referred to as "Superman" by his wife due to his remarkable recoveries from prior health issues and accidents, and "Pop Pop" by his grandchildren.

Rich loved aviation and spent his entire adult life working in, on and around planes and helicopters.  He was a forever learner and loved to spread his wisdom to anyone who would listen.  He was incredibly hardworking and dedicated to the safety of flying.

He was a proud American patriot who loved fishing, working on his truck and the Rockies and the Avalanche.

Above all, he was a loving husband and father.  Always there for advice, support and a different way to make sense of life's ups and downs.  Sharing his stories and lessons was something that brought him joy.  Making light of life's pitfalls was his strong suit.

He was predeceased by his father, Louie Bludnick, his mother Irene (Archibeque) Bludnick, his father-in-law Adam Johnston and brother-in-law Lynn Pokorski, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his loving wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived and lovingly remembered by his in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many wonderful friends and co-workers in the aviation industry.

Fly high Rich, you have left holes in our hearts, but we will fill them with memories of you and your spirit.

A celebration of Rich's life will be held at a future time.
