Mike Lile

Mike "Griz" Lile, 56, of Hudson, Colorado passed away on January 10th, 2016.

The memorial service will be held on January 16th, 2016 at 1pm at 4575 Eliot St, Denver, Colorado 80211. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11am at Denver Friends Church. Pastor Chuck Orwiler will be officiating. Mike will be cremated in a private ceremony to follow. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Peter Morley of The Cremation Society of Colorado.

Mike was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 22nd, 1959. He moved to Colorado at a young age and always considered Colorado his true home. He graduated from Westminster High School and after high school spent many years mastering different skilled trades. Mike eventually found his calling as a nurse, graduating in 2003. Mike continued his educational journey with Michelle receiving his Bachelors in Nursing in 2008 and his Master's Degree in Nursing from Regis University in 2012. As a life-long learner, Mike went back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner in hospice care and would have graduated in April 2016. In nursing, he found his calling in hospice where he was able to bring his compassion, spiritual gifts, and a comforting touch to his patients.

Mike was married to Michelle on October 12th, 2008. Michelle was the love of his life and he never failed to tell her daily how very much he loved her. Mike enjoyed taking rides on his motorcycle, listening to classic rock music, watching the Denver Broncos, traveling with Michelle, and spending time with his beautiful larger than life blended family. Mike loved the Lord, worshiping always, and keeping all in prayer. He will be remembered as a kind, generous person with a sense of adventure, gentle humor, and a faithful heart. His frequent smiles, hugs, and limitless love will be greatly missed.

Mike will be cherished always by his beloved wife, Michelle. Mike is also remembered by his sons Gabriel and Seth and by Monique, Brandi, Eric, Molly and Thor as a loving father. Mike is survived by his parents, brothers, sisters, and a wealth of treasured friends. He absolutely lit up the lives of 14 grandchildren and was excited to welcome his first great-grandchild in April.
