Michael Williams

Michael ‘Gene' Paul Williams, a retired caretaker and life-long resident of Denver, CO, died unexpectedly on January 8, 2016 at the age of 62.
Michael is survived by his wife, Clara Garcia; his children, Angela Nelson, Kristyann Williams, James Garcia, Frances Garcia, Jackie Carson, Melissa Garcia, and Michael Williams jr; and his twenty-four cherished grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brothers, Billy, Bobby, and Christian Nelson; and his mother, Lucy Nelson (Romero).
Michael was born in Denver on June 3, 1955 to Lucy Nelson (Romero). Throughout his life he took on many caretaker positions and fully enjoyed helping others until his last days. Michael was a devoted father and cherished grandfather. On July 21, 2015, he married his sugarplum, Clara after 33 years together. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveled across the country, and was an amateur flute player. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was also a spiritual man, who always held an optimistic view towards life and held his family close to his heart. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on January 15 at Horan & McConaty on 3020 N. Federal. Reverend Mike LAST NAME will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 1212 Mariposa St. Denver, CO 80204 at 4:00 p.m.
