Michael Rosenthal passed away suddenly on January 18, 2015. He embraced life with a full smile, a positive attitude and loved to make people smile.
Mike was born in Detroit on November 2, 1959, to Al and Ruth Rosenthal. Mike graduated from North Farmington High School, where he first discovered his love of technology. His first job was a bag boy at Boston discount, where he had his first true professional success, meeting the woman who later became his wife of 33 years, Pat. They wed April 2, 1982, and settled in Colorado to raise their kids and build a life.
Mike loved his family and, next to a good meal with family and friends, a good party, he especially enjoyed listening to music with his family. Whether driving all day with the stereo on, attending a concert or taking a last-minute road trip to see a show, Mike loved his music, especially Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, his family's favorite band.
Mike is survived by his wife, Pat Burr-Rosenthal; son, Andy; daughter, Megan; son-in-law, Jon Watt; sisters Leanne Segard (Bob) and Caren Manko (Ken); nieces Jennifer Prohow (Dan), Jodi Robin (Adam) and Aiden Burr; and brothers-in-law Dennis Burr (Lynne) and Rick Burr (Amie). Mike was also considered adopted family by so many.
Mike embraced life with a smile, kindness and a wicked sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
There will be a memorial service and details will follow. The family requests that any donations go to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado in Michael's name.
