Mary Elizabeth Daugherty

Mary Elizabeth Daugherty (nee Resh, previously married Potts), 89, died November 7, 2023 in Littleton, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her dearly-missed, loved, and cherished husband, Ronald Adelbert Daugherty. Mary was a loving mother to James Keith Potts, II, Kristin Elise Potts, Donald Scott Potts, and Brett Allen Potts and adored her granddaughters Jamie Elizabeth Potts Clark, Jessica Emma Potts, and Brett Elise Potts.

Mary was born in Dayton, Ohio, and throughout her lifetime, she resided in several cities in Ohio, California, Florida, Texas, and Colorado, ultimately settling in Littleton. During her professional career, Mary was a proud contributor to the U.S. Space Shuttle program as Quality Assurance Director for the USAF. In retirement, Mary enjoyed crocheting afghans for those living in local senior-living communities who were without family. Mary loved her dogs and cared for many over her lifetime, all of which were rescues.

A private service will be held, and there will be no viewing. Mary's family kindly requests that donations be made to veterans' organizations or animal shelters in her memory, as these causes were close to her heart.
