Mary Cobos

Mary Jo Cobos, age 61, of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 05, 2015, in Lakewood, Colorado after a long battle with cancer and illness. Mary Jo was born on August 27, 1953 in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the daughter of Bernabe Apodaca and Julia Gallegos.

Mary Jo was the bravest woman anyone would ever come to know and a dear friend to anyone who knew her. She always had a beautiful smile and who was kind and giving. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She enjoyed the company of family and friends, cooking, music, gardening and her pet cats. The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Mario Trujillo and son Adrian Cobos of Denver Colorado; grandchildren: Fabian Trujillo, Izaiah Trujillo, Yazmine Marquez and Adrian Jr Salazar; Sisters: Nancy Bostick, Patsy Trujillo, Judith Miller, Yolanda Gonzales; Brother: Ricky Apodaca and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be provided for Mary Jo on Thursday March 26, 2015 at 10:30 am Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado 80233.

"God's Garden"

God looked around his garden
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
and whispered "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you
but you did not go alone...
For part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
