Martha Louise (LeFevre) Cotoia 68, of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully in her home Monday June 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents G.B. & Etna (Lancaster) LeFevre and brother Benny LeFevre. She is survived by her only daughter Kelly (Cotoia) Davis, granddaughter Alyson Davis, son-in-law Eric Davis, sister Rita Speer, and sister-in-law Mary LeFevre -- along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Martha was born and raised in Santa Fe and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1972. Shortly thereafter, she married John Cotoia and started her family. Martha modeled as a young woman and was an extremely talented artist working primarily in stained glass, beadwork, and jewelry design. She loved to sew, paint, and craft pretty much anything. Martha had a green thumb in the garden and with plants. She enjoyed roller skating, skiing, hiking, and dancing in her active years.
Martha was a joyous and strong lady who loved others and the served the Lord. She suffered for many years with illness and has now been called to her eternal home where “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever” (Revelation 21:4, NLT). She now walks with her divine Lord.
A memorial service followed by fellowship will be held at The Light At Mission Viejo, 4601 Mission Bend in Santa Fe, on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the National MS Society are appreciated.
