Marilyn Sue Winn (John), 77, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 5, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, to Jared B. "Jerry" John and Nadine John (Schilling).
Marilyn graduated from high school in Wichita, KS, before earning a degree in Health Education from Brigham Young University. A dedicated and driven mother, she successfully owned and operated her own business for 20 years. Never one to shy away from new challenges, she went back to school at the age of 50 to earn her paralegal certification, which led to a fulfilling career in retirement planning and the oil and gas industry.
She had a sweet and generous spirit, always ready to uplift those around her. Marilyn found joy in dancing, the outdoors, and sharing lunches with friends. Her warmth, kindness, and vibrant presence touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her brothers, Steve and Kevin; her children, Jeff, Greg (Julie), Brad (Christina), and Laura (Justin); and her beloved grandchildren, Lexi, Hadley, and Harper. She also leaves behind a long list of cherished friends who were like family to her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday the 15th at 11:00A.M. at the LDS Chapel at 4701 S. Chambers Rd., Aurora, CO. Flowers may be sent to 16871 E. Lake Ln., Aurora, CO 80016
