Marie Mcisaac

June 13, 1941 — October 17, 2017

Marie Elaine (Redding) McIsaac,76, formerly of Wilbraham and North Attleboro, quietly passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Avantarra hospice, after bravely making the decision to stop all treatment of her progressive lung disease. She was the loving mother of Rebecca (McIsaac) Ververs of Parker, Colo. and John McIsaac of Springfield, Mass.

Born on June 13, 1941, Marie was the loving daughter of the late Myrtle (Beaupre) Redding and Howard Redding, and the much cared for step-daughter of the late Milton French.

Marie grew up in North Attleboro with her big brothers, David and Dennis, little sister Vicki, and a multitude of close-knit cousins. She graduated from King Philip Regional High School in 1959 where she was known for her sense of fun and her infectious laughter.

A resident of Parker, Colo. for the past 5 years, Marie treasured the time she spent with her daughter, Becky, and her grandsons, Charlie and Cooper, with whom she lived until just recently.

In addition to Becky and John, she is survived by her devoted brothers David Redding of North Attleboro and Dennis Redding of South Yarmouth and her beloved sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Betty. She also leaves behind her favorite partner-in-crime, Vicki Lankarge of West Hartford, CT. In addition to her grandsons Charlie and Cooper, Marie is survived by her much-loved grandsons in Westfield, Jake and Owen McIsaac and their mother, Tracy (Johnstone) McIsaac.

Marie also leaves behind an extended family of nieces and nephews and friends, many of whom played some rollicking hands of pitch, cribbage or rummy with her. All of them will remember - and miss -- her kindness, her laugh, her generous spirit, and the way she waved her arms around when she was telling a story.

The burial will be private. Donations may be made in Marie's memory to Autism Speaks or The American Lung Association. Alternatively, her family asks that you do an act of kindness for a stranger in her name, or encourage a young person to quit smoking.
