Margaret Werner

November 27, 1931 — May 14, 2020

Margaret Esther (Marge) Werner

(1931-2020)

Our sweet mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on May 14, 2020 in her home in Aurora, CO.

Marge was born in Red Bluff, California on November 27th, 1931 and moved to Colorado as a young girl. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University. In early age Marge had Rheumatic fever which forced her to be in bed for a year. This experience helped shape her determination and zest for life. She hiked all 58 of the 14ers in Colorado.

Marge lived almost all of her life in Colorado where she loved the beautiful mountains, flowers, rock hunting, gardening and being close to her family. Her family meant everything to her. Her visits to the homes of her daughter and son's families are memories that will always be cherished.

Marge was there to support her family in both the good and the challenging times. Anyone who knew her recognized how kind she was. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, rarely got angry or said a harsh word. Marge simply loved others and everyone loved her back. She will be dearly missed.

Marge will be remembered with love by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Tom Stevens, son and daughter-in-law Rolf and Caroline Werner, son Kurt Werner, and son and daughter-in-law William and Zornitza Werner and several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her wish was to be cremated and her ashes spread in the mountains by her family.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Denver Botanical Gardens or the Colorado Parks & Wildlife.
