Lucille Hurt

Lucille Margaret Waage Hurt, age 96, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Parker Adventist Hospital near Denver, after sustaining a fall on the previous Wednesday. Born May 22, 1917 in Triumph, Minnesota to parents who emigrated from Stavanger, Norway. Survived by daughters Louiva Puffer Jim of Plymouth, Minnesota, Virginia Prochnow Jim of Denver, Colorado and son, Russell Hurt Cindy of Port Wing, Wisconsin, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Lucille's beloved husband Ivan Hurt passed away in 2002. Lucille enjoyed her family, Eastern Star, Bridge, ballroom dancing, retirement with Ivan at the Sunflower Resort in Surprise, Arizona and the many years spent at Lake Minnebelle fishing "as long as Ivan baited the hook and took off the fish." A memorial service is being planned for late summer. Memorial gifts will be used for art or a bench for a Hutchinson park.
