It is with deep sadness and realized peace on July, 19, 2022 my wife; Lucille Framiglio has been called to Heaven. Lucy passed away peacefully at home bringing to an end her ten year challenge with Frontal Lobe Dementia. While I am so very sad with the loss of my Love and Best Friend, I take comfort in knowing she is now whole, without pain, and with God.
Lucille Marie Morgan was born October 9, 1956, the sixth of eight children (four boys, four girls) to John & Nancy Morgan. The family homestead was a large Queen Anne style home built in the 1890’s located in Ferguson, Missouri. Eight very active children about a year apart, you can only imagine the excitement. Nancy would often summon the children from outside to the dinner table by playing the French National Anthem on the piano. The stories were endless. Lucy was very proud of her brothers who all served in the military, and being one of the Morgan girls, aka “The Sisters”. Lucy was married and maintained the homestead where she brought three energetic boys into this world. Lucy had many achievements in her life, but without hesitation would tell you having and raising her boys was her greatest accomplishment. Lucy was a mother to all children, and was loved by all in turn. Lucy never shied away from hard work, and dealt with adversity without complaint. When Lucy was diagnosed with Dementia, she took it in stride, maintained a positive outlook and was always able to find a smile for you. To this day I find it hard to believe I was blessed to have her as my wife.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nancy Morgan, brothers Chris and James. In addition to myself, those left to cherish Lucy’s memory are Sons Charles Vollmer, John Vollmer his wife Jessica, Benjamin Vollmer his fiancé” Amanda. Siblings Liz McEvoy her husband Jerry, Maggie Medjuck her husband Bruce, Carol Hahn her husband Bob, Tom Morgan, Danny Morgan his wife Rachael. Mother-in-Law Rose Framiglio, Sisters-in-Law Lisa Buechele her husband Richard, Gina Hess her husband Keith, and Brother-in-Law Mark Framiglio his wife Jeanette. Lucy also leaves behind four beautiful granddaughters, Christiana, Jilyan, Jayden, and Jordan as well as treasured nieces and nephews.
While Lucy’s journey has not been an easy one, the love, caring and spiritual support shared by our family, friends, neighbors and medical professionals allowed us to find peace, laugh, and enjoy happy times right up to Lucy’s homecoming.
