Lorraine Rabiger

October 27, 1927 — February 22, 2015

Lorraine Marie Rabiger was born in Camden, NJ on October 27, 1927. She began her life as Lorraine Marie Praul, born to Harold (Buck) and Emma Praul. She was a housewife, homemaker and mother.

Lorraine married Richard Morhauser in June 1948. They raised three daughters, Cheryl, Arlene and Marianne and were married for 26 years.

Lorraine is survived by: Cheryl Morhauser of Nevada City, CA, Arlene Morhauser (and son-in-law Dave Delgado) of Aurora, CO, Marianne Lewis of New Milford, CT, Richard Morhauser of Auburn, ME, nephew Paul Flesher of Mount Laurel, NJ, cousin Shirley Colgate of NJ, cousins Joan Wagner and Bud Wagner of Sulphur, Louisiana, great granddaughter Patty (Kennedy) Kulich of Denver, CO and many other Rabiger/Kennedy great grandchildren.

Lorraine grew up in Collingswood, New Jersey and attended Collingswood High School. She also attended 1 year of college in Philadelphia, PA and studied art. Lorraine lived in many places during her long life, including Brigantine, NJ, Boone, NC, Haddonfield, NJ, Emmaus, PA, Newtown, CT, Clearwater, FL and Denver, CO.

Lorraine married Edward Rabiger in Brigantine, NJ in 1977 and a few years later they moved to Largo, Florida. They were married for 17 years. They enjoyed "shelling", gathering shells along the Florida coastline and creating whimsical shell creatures that they sold to various tourist shops. Lorraine was very active in the Dorcas Sewing Circle at Saint Paul United Methodist Church of Largo, FL. She and Ed were also able to enjoy an extended trip through Europe. After Ed Rabiger passed away, Lorraine moved to Denver, CO.

Lorraine was very talented and artistic. She sewed clothes for herself and her children, and she did knitting and crocheting. She also took classes in weaving, oil painting, watercolor painting and over the years created many beautiful paintings which are treasured by her family.

A Memorial Service will be held in Lorraine's honor on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church located at 4905 E. Yale Ave., Denver, CO 80222.
