Lee Joseph Kinney was born August 1, 1946 and died in the early morning of October 27, 2014. Lee was born and spent the 1st four years of his life in Brownsville, TN. He grew up and lived in Lincoln, NE for many years.
Lee loved the outdoors, the mountains and streams; and traveling in Europe, especially France. He lived in Denver for over the last 20 years and was able to enjoy his passion for skiing, fishing and hiking. He was also passionate about good food, wine, animals & birds!
Lee was a pioneering bootfitter with handcrafted footbeds, he opened The Custom Foot in 1987 with many loyal followers. An article in the Denver Post on October 29 stated " it is not a stretch to say Lee Kinney saved lives."
Lee was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in September 2013 and fought the cancer valiantly until he died.
Lee is survived by his sister & brother in law, Marcia & Ray Cederdahl of Lincoln NE; nephew Jay Cederdahl & partner Mike of Mohave CA; nieces Kjerstin Egger and her husband Joel of Lincoln NE; Erika Jo Cederdahl & partner Mary of Santa Cruz CA; Aunts Jean Cobb and Karen Kinney of Memphis TN; numerous cousins; his family of friends in CO & NE; and his beloved dog, Xylo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Alfred Kinney & Margaret (Marge) Elizabeth Sorley Kinney; waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge were Ho and Medor.
