Laura Sanchez

September 24, 1987 — September 28, 2014

Laura Alexandria Sanchez Weaver returned to her heavenly home on September 28, 2014. Laura was born on September 24, 1987 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved with her family to Fort Collins after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home. She met and married the love of her life, Casey Weaver on April 20, 2009.

As a child and teenager she was always a happy child with a big smile and a big heart. She loved spending time with her younger eight siblings and her many the cousins. She was eager to please and always willing to help another in need. In her childhood, teen years, and into her adulthood she had a way of instantly attracting people because of her personality, southern charm, and sweet mannerisms. These same characteristics made her a natural caregiver which led her to choose the medical field for her career.

Her untimely death resulted in a short career, however, because of her special talents and dedication she excelled in the little time she had. She attended colleges in Colorado and Oregon and graduated December 2013 at the "top of the class" for Certified Nursing Assistant.

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Casey Avre Weaver, and devoted family; father Luis A. Sanchez, Jr., mother, eight siblings including Derek Sanchez and Lillian Sanchez, Mother-in-law Sue Avre, Father-in-law Vincent Weaver, grandparents Madeleine Peggy Ruth Phillips, Angelia S. Sanchez, Luis A. Sanchez, Sr., and Tina Mills Samples.

Friends: Too many to list, but special thanks go to Vivian Hava for her friendship with Laura from birth and for providing us with the wonderful memories brought to life by the beautiful photo displays she creatively and tirelessly made for us. Special thanks also to Dillan Johnson, his mother, and Nathan Haas who, along with her devoted husband Casey, were devoted and supportive to Laura in her time of need.

Laura has touched all of our lives, each in a different way. Our hearts are extremely saddened by this unexpected loss, she was the angel atop our Christmas tree. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Laura had a strong faith and belief in God as evidenced by the words she shared with her grandmother Peggy, " I bring all my tears and sorrow to Mother Mary ." May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God our Father and our heavenly Mother Mary.

Say not in grief that she is no more but live in thankfulness that she was .
