Larry Colpitts

Larry Colpitts passed away on April 10th, 2016. Born in Anton, CO on August 17th, 1939 to Pearlie and Bud Colpitts. Larry grew up in Anton, Co learning and working hard on the family farm. He graduated from Liberty High School in Cope, Colorado in 1957. After graduation he moved to California for a short time and fell in love with Lorraine Law. Eventually Larry and Lorraine would move back to Colorado and reside in Littleton in 1972 until his death. Larry worked as a drywall finisher for most of his career. Larry enjoyed playing cards, golfing and traveling to beautiful places. Most of all he enjoyed his family. He loved spending many great times with his two brothers and four sisters. Most of all his priority was his two children Kevin and Shannon. As Larry grew older spending time with his six grandchildren made him the happiest. He was a dedicated and loyal husband to Lorraine and the two had many special moments. Larry was a man of his word and would do anything for anyone.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine Colpitts, son Kevin Colpitts, Daughter Shannon (Colpitts) Trujillo, Granddaughters Julia Trujillo, Sophia Trujillo, Madison Colpitts and Megan Colpitts, Grandsons Andrew Trujillo and Angelo Trujillo. He is also Survived by his Sisters Marge, Jan and Vicki and Brother Ken.

Larry is preceded in death by his Parents Bud and Pearlie Colpitts, sister Mary Ann Stevens and Jim Colpitts.

Memorial Service, Saturday, April 23, 2016, 3:00 PM, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6705 South Webster Street in Littleton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Denver Hospice.
