Kevin Lyle Ford, age 64, of Bradenton Florida passed mercifully from this earth on June 21, 2022 after a long period of suffering. He was born on April 28, 1958 to Stacy and Ferne Ford in Pensacola Florida. He lived in many states as well as in Canada before returning to Florida to enjoy the warm water and weather that he so loved.
Kevin was an exceptionally smart and steady man who also possessed great empathy and kindness. He could solve any problem and could be relied upon for help in every situation. He was intuitive and accepting of all people, saying that everyone had an “A” in his book until they proved otherwise. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida and went
on to manage computer systems for a variety of corporations. He was a joyful, active man who enjoyed scuba diving, running, boating, traveling, swimming, reading, singing, watching comedies and motorcycling near and far. Kevin had great success in all areas of life and was the anchor of his family.
His devastating injury in a July, 2007 auto accident rocked the lives of all that loved him as well as ended life as he knew it. That he survived fifteen years with these grievous injuries attests to his immense strength, character and love. He was cared for with great love and kindness by his wife, Diana Ford, and sister-in-law, Margaret Brooks, during these many years of tribulation. Now the bonds are broken and he can fly free.
Kevin was preceded in death during 2022 by his beloved wife of 40 years, Diana Sue Ford, as well as his father, Stacy Franklin Ford. He is survived his mother, Ferne B. Ford of Madison MS, sister Marcia (David) Jones of London England, brother Bryan (DeAnna) Ford of Madison MS, and sister Yvonne (Douglas) Wilder of Denver CO; as well as nieces Bethan (Dustin) Hughett, Maeve Wilder, Neva Wilder, and Maren Wilder and nephews Ian (Heather) Jones, Gareth (Cassandra) Jones, Evan (Bonnie) Jones, and Corey Ford. Kevin was greatly loved and, for those that suffered with him during his long trial, the knowledge that he is at peace brings great solace during this time of sorrow.
