Kem Love was born was born on November 2, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan and left us on December 23, 2015 in Denver, Colorado.
He was the eldest of 5 born to Franklin Love and Gorgetta Ann O`Neal- Love.
Kem was loved by his siblings David, Alison, Lynette, Traci and niece's Chamari, Monea, Shamika, La Chay, and Brianna. His nephews Michael, Albert and Brandon. He also leaves behind his great niece's Chasten, A`Maya, Ja`lyrics, Makenlee, Ramoni and great nephews Jay`den, Jay`vion, Ja`kyi and King. Kem also had a huge extended family and loving friends.
Kem was a vibrant loving person that would give you the shirt off his back and ask for nothing in return. Kem will always be remembered for his compassion to others. He was a great confidant and friend to many, making friends anywhere he went. He could hold your secrets, give good advice, and just with a attentive ear, ease your heart. His laugh was contagious, leaving you just as tickled as he was. His motto was: live your life and be happy regardless of what others think because tomorrow isn't promised. Kem was a firm believer in loving others, especially family. Family bonds were the most important to him. Even in death he reminds us to let go and be forgiving, family is all you have. We as a family will never forget these words and as a family we strive to maintain strong family bonds.
Time spent with Uncle Kem was a precious treasure, he brightened the atmosphere with his personality. The bond we all shared with him was an unspoken agreement, that you watch after us and we'll watch over you. We didn't have to hide our true selves around him even as young kids, when we where around him you could relax and live a little; or a lot! He was real, uncensored but yet loving and understanding. I doubt we'll ever meet anthor man like uncle Kem because nowadays everyone is so concerened about what people think of them. It didn't matter what other people thought of him because he was so vibrant he didn't have time to notice. No one ever knows when they'll take their last breath no matter how good or poor their health is, acknowledging that and reminiscing on uncle Kem's time with us shows that you have to love yourself and love your life! No matter what you struggle with, find what makes you happy. Uncle Kem took care of us, genuienely showing love for each of us. Love wasn't just uncle Kem's last name, it was his lifestyle. We love you Uncle Kem!
