Keith Thomas Vigil

Beloved Keith Thomas Vigil, born 24 November 1976 to Nora Kathleen Widhalm and Thomas Leroy Vigil, made his Journey to join his father, his sister, Jessica, and his Ancestors on January 6, 2025. Keith had an amazing zest for life. He always had a smile to share and a laugh that could brighten any day. He loved Pow-wows and all the Sacred Ceremonies. His great wish was to dance at the Sundance and at Pow-Wows. Now he can from the stars. 

Keith developed his artistic skills and found he had a love for creating jewelry and diamond painting. He was exploring photography, porcupine quill work, acrylic painting, and other crafts. He was a beloved member of the Monte Vista community for several years, moderating the “Now This is Monte Vista” Facebook page. He was an amazing advocate for Indigenous rights, Pride community, First Responder community including police, and other minority communities. He loved animals and supported the Conour Animal Shelter through Facebook posts and volunteering on their Board of Directors. He enjoyed spoiling his chihuahuas, Titi and Strawberry.

 Keith was adopted later in life by Toni and Manuel Romero of Monte Vista and has a large adopted and extended family. He was a loving father, gracious brother, beloved Uncle, and loyal friend. His impact and absence will be forever felt by those who loved him most.
