Keith Nelson

Keith L. Nelson, age 101, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 in Thornton, CO.  Mr. Nelson was born in Independence, Kansas.  His father was Frank L. Nelson and his mother was Florence E. Nelson.  Keith was preceded in death by an older brother, Martin, a younger sister, Patricia, his wife, Rose and his parents.

The family moved to Denver in 1929.  A graduate of East High School, class of 1937, Nelson went on to serve in the U. S. Army during WW II in the South Pacific. Upon return from the service, Mr. Nelson became an Assistant Store Manager with F.W. Woolworth company and was stationed in Kalispell, MT.  This was where he met Rose (Ricki) Rickard and they became engaged.  They were married on January 17, 1948 in Kalispell.  The Nelsons returned to Denver where they made their home and raised 2 children, Cynthia Leslie Nelson Murphy of Boerne, TX. and Randall Martin Nelson of Henderson, CO. Nelson started and retired from a career with Equifax Companies.   Nelson had three grandsons, one step-granddaughter, one step-grandson, four great-grandsons, four step-great-grandsons and one step-great granddaughter.  Services will be held at a later date.

Memorials or donations in his honor can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
