Kay Allyn Black (nee Grasmick), 72, passed away on August 26 at her home. She was the first born to Theodore and Dorothe Grasmick on May 26, 1952 in LaJunta, Colorado. She was a Denver resident. Graduated from George Washington High School and graduated from Parks Business School and The Colorado School of Healing Arts. She started her career at Hilton Hotels, then to Cigna Insurance, then started her massage therapy business, Tranquil Moments. In 2011 she worked at Broadspire and then Optum.
Proceeded in death by her parents Ted & Dorothe Grasmick, brother-in-law Ken Clark, cousin Kimberly Moore, Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her cats – Spirit and Magic, sisters, Karen Clark and Debbie Walters (Tim), nephew Scott Fennell (Javaneh), nieces Amanda Puskac (Josh), Tiffany Sanchez (Mike), Mindy Sell (Leo), and grand nieces and nephews, cousins,
Kay loved her cats -like her kids!, the Denver Broncos and family.
Kay will always be remembered by her smile and taking photos. She was a beautiful kind loving presence in the lives of so many.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 20th at 1:00 pm at Holy Love Lutheran Church, 4210 S Chambers Road, Aurora.
