Our beloved Kathryn Meyer ended her journey on this earth on September 18, 2018. She was thirty years old.
Kathryn was born to Patricia and Bill Meyer. She was raised in Friendswood, Texas. She graduated from Emory University in 2010 with honors for her degree in history. She completed a Master's degree from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development in May 2013. Kathryn had the opportunity to live in many places throughout her life. She formed strong connections with people across the United States and abroad.
Kathryn was the kind of person who didn't know a stranger- everyone became an instant friend. Those closest to her will remember her for her kindness, generosity, respect, and passion. Kathryn fought hard for causes that were important to her, especially LGBTQ rights. She loved celebrating events in the lives of others such as weddings, babies, new jobs, and new hobbies. Kathryn also enjoyed ice skating, skiing, sewing, cycling, hiking in the Colorado mountains, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
A memorial service and celebration of life will held at the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, CO on October 14, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Donations in her honor can be made to either the Trevor Project or directly to her memorial services through GoFundMe by searching her name.
May Kathryn find peace in death.
