Kathleen Cory

Kathleen (Tuny) Cory, 54, died in Denver, Colorado on Friday, May 1 2020. The cause was heart failure. Born on February 5, 1966 in Stamford, CT to Donald J. Cory and Gayle O. Cory, she graduated from Radnor High School, in Wayne, PA, and subsequently took a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree from nearby Villanova University. For much of her adult life Tuny worked in the travel industry, beginning with Rosenbluth Travel, in suburban Philadelphia, and later at agencies in Orlando and Denver. In addition to travel, cooking was among her many passions. She was particularly skilled at baking and maintained a tradition sending Christmas cookies to her seven siblings. Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by siblings Donald J. Cory, Jr., of American Falls, ID; Deborah Cory-Slechta, of Rochester, NY; Judith Cory, of Hummelstown, PA; James Cory, of Philadelphia; Richard Cory, of Elverson, PA; Peter Cory of Hanover, PA and Stephen Cory, of Englewood, CO, in addition to nieces Kara Keitt, Kourtney Keitt and Amy Slechta and nephews Christopher Slechta and Kevin Cory. In spite of serious health difficulties in her teens, she cultivated a positive attitude throughout her life and her spirited presence will not soon be forgotten by her family and her many friends. Memorial services on her behalf are forthcoming in late summer at two locations, suburban Philadelphia and Denver. In lieu of flowers, we would request donations to a charity in her name.
