Katherine Baker

Katherine Elizabeth Baker, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Baker Jr., and her parents, Ruth (Carter) and George C. Miller. Katherine was the youngest of six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death: Carl, Merna, Glenn, Helen (Lambert), and Fred. Katherine is survived by: son Ronald, his wife Dianne, and granddaughter Amanda; daughter Deborah Carver, granddaughters Nancy and Rachael, and great-granddaughter Ava (Nancy); son Grover (III), his wife Lauren, and grandsons Josiah and Samuel; step-son John, his wife Kay, and granddaughter Tiffany Maxwell; and other extended family.
Katherine was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee. She moved with husband Grover to the Nashville area to raise their children, and after thirty-odd years returned to her beloved east Tennessee in retirement. Her final years were spent in the Nashville area.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd., Nashville, TN 37205. Pre-service music will begin at 1:30.
