Karoll Haris

June 21, 1951 — October 19, 2019

Karoll S Haris (Carol Sue Elliott) aka. Duke, 68 of Denver, Colorado, passed away in her home on Saturday October 19, 2019 @ 3:25 am of Pulmonary Embolism, in the presence of her family.

Karoll was born on June 21, 1951 in Washington Court House, Ohio to Pearl Sylvester Harris and Doris Mae Harris . She graduated from East High School in 1969. Karoll received her bachelors of business from Parks College in 1980.

Karoll started her military career with the National Guard in 1973 than in 1976 she went regular army. In 1974 Karoll was stationed at Fitzsimons Army Base in Aurora, Colorado where she served her country as a Unit Clerk for Stg Major Henley, in the finance department. she was honorably discharged in 1977 ranked SP4-E4 Class, because the migraines were affecting her job. Karoll loved the mountains so much that when she was discharged, she decided that Colorado would be her home.

Karoll is predeceased by: Daughter Donitta, baby sister Sylvia Harris, her father Pearl Sylvester Harris and mother Doris Mae Harris.

Karoll is survived by: her two older sisters: Danna Roberts of Colorado and Sharron Walker of Ohio, Two children Jenitta Haris and Jaxson Elliott both of Colorado, Two grandchildren Martika Haris and Travin Haris and three great-grandchildren Aarinae Cross, Jayden Haris, and Aaron Cross Jr. Ex-husband William Elliott of Ohio, two stepchildren Kii Elliott and Gheta Elliott and 12 step grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins

Karoll held various jobs, Property manager, Executive Secretary ultimately owning her own mortgage company DreamMaker Mtg. Due to poor health Karoll retired from working in 2003.

Karoll loved bowling, but camping and fishing was a passion and until her health started failing. Karoll was one heck of an artist, preferring pencil and charcoal. At times upon request she would etch caricatures in wood.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, @ 2:15 pm on the dot!

Location: Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver, CO 80236. Staging area C place, Section 42 Site 406

After the service a repass will be held at Karolls house
