Karen Gomez

Karen Christine Gomez, age 67, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. She was born on February 27, 1949 in Princeton, MN, the daughter of I.O. and Dorothy (Wilson) Teigen. Karen was a feisty and warm hearted woman. She loved spending time with her family and entertaining on holidays and special occasions. She enjoyed antiquing, finding a good bargain and going for a drives with Levi and Snickers. She was a creative, funny and beautiful lady. Karen will be missed dearly by her family and many wonderful friends. Karen is survived by her husband of 24 years, Levi of Lakewood, CO; Children, Chris (Jim) Ries,of Belle Plaine, IA, Shelia (Gene) Ray of Golden, CO, Carol (Darren) Yancy of Burleson, TX, Lee Gomez of Thornton, CO; grandchildren, William (Kelsey), Karena, Christopher, Anthony (Rhapsody), Joseph (Dani), Austin, Dane, Zachary, Brenna, Gene and 5 great grandchildren.; sister, Jane (Don) Kluender of Pemberton, MN; along with many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Johnson and sisters, Margaret Sjoquist and Mary Ellen Lueck.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016, Creekside Community Room, 1710 Pierce Street, Lakewood, CO from 4pm - 6pm and on Saturday, November 12, 2016, Princeton Depot, 101 10th Ave. South in Princeton, MN from 11am - 2pm.
