Josie Chavez

Josie was born on September 1, 1942.  She went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the age of 75.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Al Chavez, and oldest daughter, Tina Griego.  She is survived by her daughter Yolanda, husband Mark; daughter Antoinette and husband John; grandchildren Steven and wife Vanessa; Aaron and wife Liz; Grandsons, David, Travis, Ryan, Johnny and Luke; and seven great grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends who will remember her in their hearts forever.

Josie wanted nothing more than to go home to heaven and be embraced in the arms of Jesus.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Josie was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend.  She loved her Church and church family.  She volunteered in the office and their radio station.  She loved the children of the church and the children’s ministry.

Josie will be missed greatly but we give thanks to our Heavenly Father for her life on earth and for the opportunity to have shared it and been a part of it.  Now we hold fast to the hope of being reunited again in eternal glory through the power of Christ’s resurrection.
