Jorrn Mcguire

Jorrn Helene McGuire, 94, of Littleton, Colorado, passed August 1, 2018.

Jorrn was born to Swen and Halfred Edwardson, 1924, in Hadsel, Norway. She graduated from Two Harbors High School (Minnesota) in 1942 and studied medical technology at the University of Minnesota. She married Raymond McGuire in 1951, and they lived together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Together they raised five children.

She leaves as her legacy four children: James McGuire (Jeannie), Joan Vautin (William), Leslie Meyer(Thomas) and Maura McGuire. She also leaves to cherish her memory of twelve grandchildren. Her children remember her as a feisty intelligent woman who valued family, education, and good dental care .

She was preceded in death by Raymond, (husband), Timothy, (son), Arthur Edwardson, (brother), Harold Edwardson, (brother), Ernest Edwardson, (brother), Tina Brunhoefer, (sister), Pearl Gosnell, (sister), Halfred, (mother), and Swen, (father).

Jorrn was a medical technician until she married in 1951 and then had a busy fulfilling life as a homemaker. She loved to travel and lived in Japan while her husband served in the US Army. She particularly enjoyed visiting her homeland of Norway on multiple occasions.

A celebration of life is planned in Wisconsin in approximately one year . Her ashes will be buried with her husband's at Wood National Cemetery at that time. The family would also like to thank the staff of Brookdale Green Mountain for their loving care during her last months of life.
