Johnny Traylor

Our father and friend whom we loved passed away on June 24th 2015, after having survived a heart attack with ongoing complications in April of 2012. John Lee Traylor was born in El Dorado Arkansas in December 7, 1947. A graduate of Dillard University in 1970, he received his bachelor's degree majoring in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. John was married a Euretta LaVarr Young in 1979. He is also survived by children Carla Ann Pearsey husband Patrick Pearsey, Becky Miller former husband Daniel Miller and current spouse Scott Reyburn, John Lee Traylor Jr. and wife Kimmie Traylor, Katrice Traylor and spouse Kevin Cox, and Alexis Evans and husband Kyle Evans, his grandchildren Jasmine Desiree Traylor, Jason Trey Miller, Jerrica Rene Miller, Xavier Lee Evans and Jordynn Lynn Reyburn. John is preceded in death by his granddaughter Briella Hope Evans. We wish them peace together. John Lee Traylor had many advid interests. He enjoyed sports such as fishing and basketball. And loved to debate politics. He also had a great love of music and dancing. He was also an advocate of nurturing the importance of health and education. "John Lee", as he was called back home in Arkansas, would be proud to know his children and grandchildren carryout his "don't just think about it, do it" philosophy and live to keep his true ideals alive! John will be loved and missed by us all....we should now pray for his peace and move forward and always remember" don't just think about it, do it ".

A visitation is scheduled from 3pm-7pm on Sunday, June 28th, 2015 at Horan & McConaty at 1091 S. Colordao Blvd., Denver, with a reception to follow at Spring Hill Suites at 13400 E Colfax Ave. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John's life.
