John Louis Seme lost his valiant battle with Colon Cancer on August 4, 2014.

John is survived by his daughter, Alexis Seme; his granddaughter, Jaliyah Quintana; his siblings Greg Click, Marcia Click, Robin Click-Wegert, and Tony Seme; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is also survived by his ex-wife Deanna Romero and her children who were a very important part of John's life and support system. He was preceded in death by his parents Ludwig Seme and Janice Squires.

Born and raised as a native to Pueblo, Colorado on August 16, 1964, he attended Pueblo public schools, graduating from Centennial High School, class of 1984. Growing up, John worked beside his father and brother, Tony, in the family business at Seme's Auto Body.

Raised as a Broncos fan and lover of all sports, John was innately drawn to school athletics and quickly found his niche as a youth and adolescent football coach. His competitive nature and natural ability to connect with kids evolved into a 30+ year career as a coach and mentor to young athletes and students, during which he impacted the lives of countless kids.

Although his love of the game of football drew him to coaching, the relationships and connections he created with not only the players, but also the families and members of the Pueblo football community were the touchstone of his career as a coach. John's selfless devotion to the people will be greatly missed by so many. Youth athletics lost a great leader and mentor when Coach Seme left us.

Services for John Seme will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Join us at Corwin International Magnet School, on the Football Field at 10am to celebrate is life on his 50th birthday. John also wrote the game plan asking attendees wear light blue, in honor of Corwin's colors, to the service where his life will be honored; he adamantly made the play call that no one wear black or suits, and we don't want to upset Coach! Anyone wishing to continue the celebration of John's life, after the services, is asked to bring a dish and a story to share in the school cafeteria.

John respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, that a fund be established to assist with funeral expenses; any remaining monies will be passed on to his daughter, Alexis and his granddaughter, Jaliyah.
