It is with great sorrow and heartache to announce that we lost an amazing man at the age of 58 on Dec 7, 2020. My Dad, Joe Garcia, also known as the Wizard, Jojo, uncle Joe, and Palermito. He struggled with an addiction to alcohol that inevitably took him away from us but despite that he had a character that was unmatched. He was always there for me and his family. We could always count on him for support, love, and kindness. He was a best friend when I needed to vent. He taught me how to be a good person, he was a true role model. He enjoyed playing the guitar, spades, dominoes, and horseshoes.
One of my favorite memories growing up was sitting in the living room and hearing my Dad and his brother, my uncle Mitch
, play guitar for hours on end.
He was the best person to learn from. He was so caring, patient, loving, strong, funny, and smart. He never judged anyone, he loved everyone freely. He had a great sense of humor, always made people around him laugh and feel welcomed. There was nothing he wouldn't do for a friend or loved one.
He will be forever missed and loved.
He is survived by his brother Abel Flores, his daughter Lizette Garcia, his nephews Mitchell Chris Garcia, Joaquin Garcia, and his niece Valerie Garcia."
