Joan Shuler

Joan Andrea Stuckey Shuler was born April 21, 1934 and passed away on Sept. 13, 2015 at the age of 81. She was a resident of Englewood, Colorado at the time of her passing. Joan was previously a long time resident of Louisville, Kentucky where she enjoyed time with her friends and family. She enjoyed Contra dancing and was an active member of MENSA.

Along with her parents, Francis ‘Shorty' and Esther Conway Stuckey, she is preceded in death by her son, Paul Francis Shuler (Jan), and grandson, Alexander Mark Wesley. She is survived by her four children, Mark Bernard Shuler (Dawn), Jacqueline Shuler Wesley, Jessica Mary Shuler, and Cynthia Shuler Gilchrest (Charles); and her grandchildren, Mariah Shuler, Marcus Shuler, Christopher Wesley, Oliver Wesley, Cynthia Wesley, Raymond Zweifel, Michael Zweifel, Conrad Gilchrest, and Julia Gilchrest.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the Community Building at St. Thomas Episcopal Church (9616 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40241). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to the ALS Association.
