Jim Thomas

Denver, CO. — Jim Thomas, 74, of Denver died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.
Jim was born on February 2, 1938 in Elk City, OK, to Virgil and Ruth Thomas. He was married to Penny Sweeney on April 16, 1960. Jim and Penny raised their family in Spearman, TX before moving to Denver.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Thomas; one brother - Larry Thomas of Scottsboro, AL; four children - daughter Jamie Shope and husband James Shope of Denver, CO, daughter Stacey Brown and husband Mike Brown of Amarillo. TX, son Gary Thomas of Spearman, TX, and daughter Teri Hunter and husband Steve Hunter of Tulsa, OK; 5 grandchildren - Ashley Shope, Andrew Brown, Matthew Brown, Timberly Thomas Lomeli, and Chasity Thomas.
The family will be celebrating Jim's life in the late spring at Golden National Park. Memorials may be sent to Children's Hospital of Denver or Craig Hospital at 3425 South Clarkson Street, Englewood, CO 80113.
