Jeff Hitchingham, 64, beloved husband of Judy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital from the cancer he'd fought for almost two years. Jeff was born April 25, 1949 and grew up in Chelsea, Michigan, the younger son of Grace A. Hitchingham Goodrich and William Hitchingham, living on the farm of his grandparents. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School, graduated from Chelsea High School, and attended the University of Northern Michigan. He moved to Colorado in the mid-1980s and lived in the south Denver metro area and Summit County. He is survived by his wife Judy of Parker, his mother Grace of Phoenix, AZ, his brother Mike and wife Dianne of Centennial. He also leaves nephews Michael Jr. Susan of Gurnee, IL; Brandon Emily of Highlands Ranch; David Amy of Highlands Ranch; as well as a niece Laura Thompson Randy of Denver and eight grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his father William and Jeff's ashes will be buried in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea, Michigan, with his father. There will be a celebration of his life, Sunday, May 5th, at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 9203 S. University in Highlands Ranch.
