Santa Fe New Mexico

It is with loving memory of Jay Galen Alderson III, that we recall a man who touched the lives of many with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith. Jay was not just a loving father, husband, and son, but also a talented artist, a skilled musician, an accomplished builder, and a dedicated occupational therapist. His passion for music extended beyond personal enjoyment. In his younger years he played the trumpet, and he most recently used his bass guitar to lead church services, spreading joy and inspiration to those around him.

Jay's generosity knew no bounds; he had a heart for the less fortunate. For years he regularly made burritos for the homeless, embodying the spirit of compassion and selflessness. He had fond memories of the mission trips he joined, that include the people he served with and those he helped. His commitment to his faith was evident in his regular tithing and his role as a man of God in his home and community.

Beyond his professional, charitable, and creative endeavors, Jay's family held a special place in his heart. His love for them was evident in the laughter he brought and the memories they shared.

Jay had many friends from all stages of his life. He was very social and had a great sense of humor. He also knew when it was time to be serious, and he had a strong shoulder to lean on, providing support and wisdom from his own life experiences. His wit and warmth will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Born on March 3, 1961, in Tucson, Arizona, Jay's journey came to a peaceful end at home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the morning of November 15, 2024. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
