Janice Chandler

Janis Ellen Chandler, Bright Eyes, died at 10:22PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was born February 18, 1944 in Durham, North Carolina.  When she left this earth for God’s arms she was surrounded by her daughters: JoEllen and Vicky, granddaughters: Virginia, Krysten, and Natalie and great granddaughters; Gemma, Morgan, and Penelope. She is also survived by her men, grandsons: Ryan, Zach and Grady, great-grandsons: Zane, Ethan and Thomas, son in law, Greg and grandson in law, Kevin.  Janis was preceded in death by her Sister Doris and her brother Grover. She is survived by her brothers and their wives: Ronnie and Barbara Johnson, Lorne and Colleen Johnson and Gene Johnson.  Janis was preceded in death and met at the gate by her amazing, wonderful husband: Robert J. Chandler and their dog, Malcolm.
As we look back and we look at photos and talk about our experiences with her, we are reminded of the beautiful, brave, smart, funny woman at the head of our family.  We celebrate her 75 years and all the years that we have been blessed with her as our mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Services to be held, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 1pm.  Strong Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM  87106.  Please join us in celebrating this extraordinary life.
