Janet Elaine Rogers died unexpectedly on March 7, 2016. Janet was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on August 28, 1959, where her father was a petroleum engineer. Her family moved to Oklahoma, where she was raised, graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting. She moved to Colorado and worked in accounting for most of her adult life. But while Janet was a professional woman, her real joy in life was her daughter, Brittany Rogers, who, due to circumstance, she raised as a single mother. And when her grandchildren, Clayton and Fiona were born, she loved them dearly. Janet was, first, and foremost a loving caring mother and grandmother. Janet was a warm, quick, clever, witty woman who brought cheer to a room by entering it. She was always ready with an extemporaneous, funny quip, a pun, or a humorous remark. She lived life to the fullest and always made the best of what circumstance dealt her. Janet's death leaves a void in the lives of family and friends, who loved her. She is sorely missed. Her mother, Martha Roby Sellers, preceded her in death. She is survived by her life-partner, Scott Detamore, her father, Bruce Sellers, her daughter, Brittany Rogers, and her grandchildren, Clayton Cai and Fiona Cai.
