Janet Mcnellis-King

Janet Snider McNellis-King (61), of Lakewood, CO gracefully went home to the Lord on June 23rd, 2018. She was born in Denver on March 29th, 1957, to Donald and Lois Snider of Denver and the younger sister to Dona (Zimmerman) and Joan (Joiner).

Jan was a member of the first graduating class from Columbine High School, and attended the University of Northern Colorado where she met and married Daniel McNellis. They had two children, Christian and Corey, and resided for many years in Parker, CO. Jan was very involved with youth wrestling, Ponderosa High School, and raising her boys and their friends.

Janet married Rex King on October 26, 2002, and enjoyed a loving marriage which included strong faith, adventures, and grandchildren and members of Grace Fellowship of Lakewood. She also was happy to gain two step-children, Jared King and Cally King (Newman).

Jan was well known for her kind, loving heart. Those that knew her, knew a radiance and grace that came from the Spirit within her. She had the true heart of a servant. She enjoyed raising and riding horses, loved animals, and had a heart for strays. She was a talented artist, and enjoyed creating artwork with her grandchildren.

She is survived by Rex King (Husband), Christian and Melissa McNellis, Corey and Tanya McNellis, Jared and Natalia King, Cally and Gregory Newman, Lois Jones Snider (Mother), Dona Zimmerman and Joan Joiner (sisters), seven grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
