James Mccarty

James “Mac” McCarty of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023 after losing his courageous battle against cancer.  He was born December 6, 1940, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, to Louis and Anna McCarty.  Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Luann.  He is mourned by his two daughters, GiGi Pleet and Leslie Lintner, 6 grandchildren Angela Juergens, Nathaniel Lintner, Michelle Lintner, Sonoma Pleet, Maya Pleet, and Abigail Pleet, and his great-grandchildren.

He is also missed by numerous friends, in-laws, and extended family members. Mac and Luann loved their family and friends and spent much of their time traveling and enjoying the great outdoors.  He loved to camp and fish, and he was a sports enthusiast enjoying NASCAR and the University of Arizona Wildcats.

A celebration of life has been scheduled for July 7, 2023, at 11:00 am, in the Chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126(www.chcc.org [chcc.org]).

A reception will follow at the Pleet home (4736 Bluegate Dr, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130).  All family and friends are welcome.
