James (Jim) W. Mallin, born in Cincinnati OH died December 9th, 2017. He attended Withrow High School where he was captain of the golf team. Jim proudly served in the US Navy in WWII on the LCS L - L117. He received a BS & MS in Geology at the University of Cincinnati. Jim worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for 50 years. Preceded in death by his wife Robbie J Mallin, son Jeffrey A. Mallin and grandson James McCabe Mallin. He is survived by daughters Karen S. Mallin (David Hjellum) and Lisa A. Mallin. Jim loved living in Colorado and enjoyed golf, fishing, pheasant hunting and wood carving. He was known for his sense of humor and landed 4 holes-in-one during his golfing tenure. Jim enjoyed great successes in his long geological career, and was a kind friend to all who knew him. He will always be a beloved husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by many. A celebration of his life will be held at later date.
