James was born, February 26, 1946 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Mario Iannaccone and Lucy Minervini; brother to Anthony Nickolas Iannaccone and Roseann Iannaccone.
James was known to all as Jimmy, Jimbo, Jimmy-the-I, the Mayor, or one of the Linguini Brothers. He grew up in New Jersey, where he graduated from Cliffside Park High School in 1965 in Cliffside Park, New Jersey and there started his family with his high school sweetheart Kathe Staudt. He was a man that had an enduring passion for life and an unbridled drive. He realized his professional advancement with 3M (Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company) as a Sales Executive which brought his family to Colorado and eventually realized his zenith while owning his own orthopedic distributorship in Northern California. He subsequently moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida to be closer to his mother, Lucy Wilson. His children, son-in-law, grandchildren, cousins and friends were fortunate to have him move back to Colorado where he spent his remaining years. All that knew him benefited from his love of life and family. He was a true testament to those who embrace life, without reservation, in spite of personal hardship.
He had a passion for bowling, was member of the United States Bowling Congress and was part of a bowling team at AMF, in Aurora, Colorado up until February 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Mary and his children: daughter, Yvette Pentland and son, James Edward Iannaccone; sister, Roseann Iannaccone; son-in-law, Tony Pentland; grandchildren: Sarek Iannaccone, Kira Iannaccone, Coleton Pentland, Landon Pentland, Nolan Shipman and Jonny Harrison. As well as his adorable little shitzu, Sandy.
The family of James Vincent Iannaccone wishes to thank Dr. Alan Aboaf, Dr. John Burke and the entire team at The Denver Hospice.
