James A. Childers died unexpectedly in his home Jan 26th. He was born in Denver, Colorado on July 12th, 1960 at Porter Hospital.
He lived and grew up in Englewood, Co. Graduated Englewood High School in 1978.
As a youngster he delivered newspapers. After he graduated he worked for various jobs until he found a job with Wilkersons shipping and receiving where he worked for 15 years, until they closed and moved out of Colorado.
He also went to Arapahoe Community College and took a course in paramedics which he really enjoyed.
He also worked for KYGO country radio station, where he got to meet a lot of the singers in person, Reba being one of them. Being a music lover he really enjoyed doing this very much.
He began playing Guitar as a young man and kept on until his untimely death.
Jim loved to play and sing his music and was very good at it. He also loved to write poetry and had several of his poems published in a book. He was very much a people person and would help whoever needed something done. Jim was a very good painter and painted houses inside and out, he also remodeled, did plumbing, and some electric work. Jim was very meticulous about his work and had a lot of repeat customers who loved his work.
Jim had a sense of humor and loved to joke and keep you laughing. Jim will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.
He is survived by his Mother Mary Childers of Englewood, and his sisters
Donna Gates of Littleton, Sherry Koinzan of Littleton, and Debra Haney of Englewood, his son Corey Childers of Aurora, all in Colorado.
