Jack Latkin died peacefully in his home in Aurora, CO on March 1, 2016 at age 89. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Jack served honorably and retired after 20 years of service as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by a brother, a sister, and two loving children.
He was an avid golfer, tennis player, and travelled the world extensively with his son. In Colorado, he enjoyed career success, devoted participation in charitable causes, and being close to his children. Jack lived a full and rewarding life and always kept his head down and swung easy.
A memorial service will be held for Jack at Fort Logan National Cemetery on March 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Staging Area "A" with a reception to follow. A service will also be held at a future date in Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jack Latkin Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo bank, or in Jack's name to National Jewish Health of Denver, or the ACLU.
