J. (AKA Joe) Anthony Ventola, age 63 of Littleton, Colorado passed into his eternal home on Sunday, March 23.
Joe was born on November 28th, 1961 in Delaware, Ohio, son of Jean and Harry Ventola. He spent his early childhood in the San Fernando Valley, CA prior to spending the rest of his days in Denver, CO. From an early age, Joe was an extremely hard worker and even held down a full-time job while attending Regis Jesuit High School on a full scholarship. Joe loved owning and working on cars in his teenage years, including a ’68 Camaro, a ’63 Impala, and a Mustang.
Joe had a lifelong desire for learning and earned an associate degree and certification as a Veterinary Technician from Bel-Rae Institute of Animal Technology. He later received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry, before achieving master’s degrees in both business administration and education. He was an entrepreneur and the owner of several businesses in his life, as well as becoming a high school chemistry, physics, environmental science and math teacher later in his career. Joe’s hard work ethic allowed him to spend his last several years in early retirement with his adoring wife.
While his children were growing up, Joe spent many hours with them; from coaching soccer and participating in boy scouts, helping to put together doll houses, to riding horses and providing solicited advice. He later enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren attending flag football games, various school performances and playing chauffeur. Joe’s recent great joy was spending time RVing with his wife Suzann, taking long trips to visit new places as well as visiting family on the east coast. He was generous with both his time and money and spent hours volunteering for Make a Wish Foundation in earlier years and more recently his church. He donated generously to a variety of charitable organizations and was a member of Authentic Life church in Littleton. Joe had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and often spent his spare time reading books and researching topics of interest.
He is survived, and greatly missed by his loving wife Suzann, daughter Tiffany (Brian), son Tony (Brooke), brother Sam (Gina), sister Lori, and grandchildren Mackenzie, Jax, and Andrew.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Jean Abel and Harry Ventola.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 29th at Authentic Life Church, 6500 W Coal Mine Ave, Littleton. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to: Compassion International, John Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnels to Towers, Mercy Ships and Smile Train.
