Hilary Ernest House Jr, 79, of Cope, CO, succumbed to cancer on August 9, 2017.
Hilary was born July 12, 1938 in Old Hickory, Tennessee to Hilary and Hazel (DeFord) House. The family moved to Dayton, Ohio following WWII. After graduating from Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio in 1956, Hilary attended Georgia Tech for two years. He served on active duty in the Army from 1960 to 1962 at Fort Hood, Texas, and was honorably discharged in 1966. He married Frances Ashley on June 28, 1963 in Phoenix.
Hilary worked as a marketing manager for AT&T for 20 years. He then ran his own computer and internet business after that. His passion for technology touched every aspect of his life. He enjoyed politics, baking, ham radio, and target shooting. He also enjoyed cooking and reading.
Hilary is survived by his sister Bettye Aboud, daughters Stacy McKay and Cassandra August, granddaughter Kaitlin McKay, grandson William McKay and ex-wife Fran House. Hilary was a loving brother, father, grandfather, ex-husband and friend to all.
He will be interred at Fort Logan on September 1, 2017 at 1:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the Cope Community Center at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, www.cancerresearch.org.
