Helen Robbins Mulvihill, of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully at home on March 1st, 2016, surrounded by her children. Helen was born in Denver and moved frequently around the West while her father Howard Robbins supervised the construction of numerous water projects for the Bureau of Reclamation. Helen attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO and later graduated from CU Boulder where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Helen married John Mulvihill, Sr. of Denver, in 1953. She was active in Girl Scouts, Junior League, Boy Scouts, and teaching Religious Education. She loved to drive her boys on their newspaper routes when it snowed too much! Helen retired from the State of Colorado Veterans Affairs office in 2002. She traveled the world with her sister-in-law and best friend Cynthia. Survivors include her sister, Carol Robbins Hitt, of Austin, TX, her 3 children Maggie, John, Jr. (Kelly), and Howard; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren,and a numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Helen's wonderful life is planned for Summer 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colorado Center for the Blind at ColoradoGives.org.
